Growing up I was a huge fan of dragons, especially How To train Your Dragon. Whenever I saw a wishing well I always threw in a penny, hoping that Toothless could be real.
At the time, there was barely any merchandise from the 2010 film, so I started making my own. I would ransack my parents lovely printer paper and create my own Toothless. I even went as far to create and illustrate my own Book of Dragons, I remember carrying it around while running errands with my parents, just encase I made a new discovery that I needed to catalog.
That drive to create never left me. Imagination was always my go-to during recess, I would create little paper characters for games I played with my sister, I would even organize entire fantastical worlds throughout my house. It only makes sense that I'd wind up here.
I love creating stories and expressing myself through my characters. My art is mostly centered around such passion, a comic I hope to realize someday called Where the Hummingbirds Rest. It's a story about identity, self love, and growing up. It's always comforting to know you're not alone, and that every soul you pass is living for the first time too.
